This is Alexa's Valentines Day Box for school. Both of the girl's wanted these cute Butterfly boxes made out of a cannery can, paper, pipe cleaners, and hot glue. I think they're super cute, but what's more important is that the girl's loved the way they turned out!!!
This next one is Aubree's Box
Now for the old chair. I had it given to me by a good friend. She decided it was too much for her to reupholster it so she asked it I wanted it. I loved the shape of the chair and so I took it. About 5 minutes into pulling off the upholstry, I was regreting it. There were a million nails and a million layers of material and stuffing. It has been reupholstered a ton before and the wood is starting to crack and break off in some places. After getting it down the wood I decided I liked it better that way. I'm going to have the hubby cut a hard seat for it that I can cover with a modern print and I'll have him cut a couple more braces to put in the back. I still have to do all that, fill in all the nail holes, strenghten most of the joints, paint and upholster but here is the begining picture and where I'm at now, the bare wood.
Do you see all those nail holes!!!!!!! It's quite a project and it will be amazing if I get it done!
