We Made It!

I thought I would update everyone on where we are and what we're doing.  We made it to Mt. Pleasant and unloaded the last of the horse trailer yesterday.  We borrowed the truck and trailer from his dad and brother in Cedar City so Jason will be taking those back to Cedar tomorrow.   He is going in a little different route because he is meeting our brother-in-law, Dale, in Panguitch to help him haul hay.  He is going to have quite a day because that morning at 9:30 he has an interview in Price, UT.  He has a phone interview this morning.  Something will work out.  We'll end up where we're supposed to be.

As for me, I'm loving being in this beautiful valley with my family close.  I am going to start officiating High School Volleyball games up here next week.  Aubree had her first day of Kindergarten at her new school.  She did great and said that her teacher was nice.  Her teacher, Mrs. Briggs, lives just up the street and is in the Primary Presidency in our ward.  That will help out that transition too.  Alexa started preschool yesterday.  I was able to get her in with Mrs. King.  Her cousin Cambree is in there and Alexa LOVED it.  I signed both of the girl's up for gymnastics.  They start that next week.  I decided that we needed to jump in with both feet if we were going to make this normal for the kids.  I'm glad that we're doing that.  It might last a couple of weeks or months, but we'll enjoy our time here.

I wanted to tell all of our friends in Las Vegas that we love them and we'll keep in touch.  We had 9 sisters show up to help clean my house the morning before we left.  We cleaned it in 2 hours.  I felt so blessed!!!!  THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all who helped in one way or another.  I love all of you so much!!!!  I'll post pictures as soon as I figure out how to do it on my dad's mac.

By the way, it's my favorite time of year up here.  It's crisp in the morning and night (40 degrees) and warm in the afternoon.  I get to wear a jacket!  I love all of those things, but my most favorite is seeing the beautiful mountain surrounding me covered in golden yellow, bright red, and green!  It makes me feel closer to Heavenly Father when I am so close to the beauty He created.  Wow, I feel blessed.

Erick strikes, again and again!!!

This morning I asked Erick to throw my old mascara away. I was sitting on my bathroom cupboard with my feet in my sink, putting on my new mascara when I heard that sucking noise of the mascara brush being pulled from the tube. When I found him, this is what he'd done. I thought it was pretty good. He at least knew that it went on your eyes.

This picture was taken about a month ago. That is flour all over my floor. He is so dang cute, but into everything!

Black Eyes from a Bike Crash!!!!

We had one of those magnificent crashes a couple of weeks ago. Alexa was riding her bike down our street at Alexa TURBO speed and watching her feet pedal instead of looking where she is going. She is famous for that. She even hit a parked car on our street and made the car alarm go off. Aubree had been riding her bike so she had her helmet on and she was chasing our neighbor boy up the street, watching him, not Alexa. They hit head on and as you can see we had a couple of hurt girls for awhile. I had to walk Aubree into school to show her teacher and explain what happened the next day. Anywhere we went for a week we got the nastiest looks from everybody in Las Vegas.

1 Week later . . .

Going Private

Aubree riding without training wheels!
Alexa riding without training wheels.

We have decided to make our blog private. If you want and invite, please leave a comment with your email address. I will make the change in a week or two. Thanks for understanding.

On a brighter note, the girls learned how to ride their bikes without training wheels. I have some great pictures to post. We still haven't found the job, but we will be moving up with my parents the end of September. We'll keep the blog updated with new events!!!
