Testimony building blocks

So I think I need to share a sweet experience of Aubree. It has been so windy down in Las Vegas lately. Every tuesday and thursday we ride bikes to the girls' pre-school (well, they ride, I roller blade and push Erick in the jogging stroller). Tuesday morning there was a wind advisory and it was blowing hard. Aubree woke up and found her daddy. She told him how it was pre-school today and she was so excited because we could ride bikes there. He told her that it was pretty windy and that we might not get to today. A couple minutes later she came and found me. She said that she said a prayer that the wind would be o.k. so that we could still ride to pre-school. She said that she knew it would be o.k. I instantly went to my knees and pleaded with my Heavenly Father for this testimony building experience for Aubree. Well, the wind was still blowing, but I knew that we had to ride our bikes to school. I thought this was the perfect experience of how Heavenly Father will help us get through it, not take it away, but help us. I look back today and realize that wind really was clamer when we were riding. By the time we got there, it started gusting more. What a cool experience for the girl's. I told them that it was because Aubree had prayed and Heavenly Father hears our prayers and will help us. I love being a mom to my children!!! They are such an example to me. I tell them all the time that they are the best kids ever and I'm the luckiest mom in the whole world to have them as my kids. I mean every word of that!!!

I love the sweet spirit that these little ones have. It is amazing to see how they grow and develop and the faith that they get at such a young age. You have taught your children well.

That's awesome Amy. YOu are a great mom! I know you have great kids too. We miss you. I'm trying to come up with a plan for you to move back. I'm still working on it. Oh, and the book chain thing hasn't been done yet, but it will eventually. Don't worry.

Hi Amy!
Found your blog from Amanda Johnson's and I read this story of yours and HAD to comment. I love having Aubree in my primary class. She is such a sweet little girl, and I can totally tell she's absorbing every little thing when I'm teaching. What a sweet spirit she has!!
And I know a lot of that comes straight from her M-O-M. She's so lucky to have you!!
